Once upon a time in a small town, there lived a curious boy named Timmy and his clever cat, Whiskers. One sunny afternoon, they were playing in the attic when Timmy noticed an old grandfather`s clock ticking away in the corner.

“Hey, Whiskers! Look at this clock! It’s so cool!” Timmy exclaimed. “But why does it say it’s morning when it’s clearly afternoon?”

“We need to speed up the clocks in the kitchen and every other clock you’ve got. If any of them are still slow, Mom might get upset when she realizes we’re late!”

As they worked together, they discovered that many clocks run with the help of springs and pendulums.

“If you make the pendulum shorter, the clock will tick faster,” Timmy explained as he adjusted one of them.
